I got tickets to The Police!!!

They are playing the MCG on Australia Day next year. Not too sure about the MCG as the venue but what can you do. Our seats are right on the side, so I reckon they will either be really good or really crappy - probably the latter since we paid for the cheapest ticket. But who cares!! I'll be there and hear them and I'm sure there will be screens and it will be all good.

During my LJ hiatus I also got a ticket to see Brooke Fraser in concert. The best part - it only cost $35!! Seriously, I think that's the cheapest concert ticket I've ever bought.

Read in the paper today that Elton John is touring Oz in December. Wouldnt mind going - especially to his Werribee Mansion concert, since thats in my neighbourhood. :O)

Going to The Phantom of the Opera on Friday. Can't wait. Does anyone want a review on the weekend or not really??

I think thats all from me re: music and theatre. LOL.

Hope everyone is well. Feel free to comment and tell me what you've been up to. :O)

you lucky thing!!

but OMG Elton!!! He played Perth like, what, last year? The year before? Is playing this year? The tickets were so horrifically expensive, and Mum wanted to go and get the best seats and was on the verge of paying $1000 for 3 seats when I talked sense into her.

But oh - to go.

I know!! :O)

All I know is what I read in the Herald Sun - he is coming back for a tour, culminating at an outdoors concert and the Werribee Mansion. I'd just love to go to that concert because of how ridiculously close to my place it is. :O)

$1000 for 3 tickets - yikes!!

Phantom!
Oh, you'll love it. I went to Melbourne with my family for the opening night.
And I want to go back and see it again.
God, it was the most wonderful thing. I walked out trying to ignore the impulse to see it again. I'll never forget any bit of it. Just simply, outstanding any expectations I may have had. I'll let you decide though when you go to see it. *cheer*

Oooh, good to hear. Thanks for that. So looking forward to it.

I heard that Anthony Warlow was sick on opening night and almost didnt make it on. How was he on stage??

Oh my God. Are you serious?
That is completely a surprise since he outshone anyone else. Really, I wouldn't have noticed.
I don't know if that's a bad thing or not, but as soon as he whispered "Christine" - I swear my heart convulsed. I hold complete adoration for him now.
So yes, he was beyond amazing and I'm so glad that he could make it on stage! It was a brilliant night. :o)

The worst thing about buying the ticket for the Police, is that it is six months away. There is no instant gratification these days with concerts.
Tell us about Phantom - I was watching an interview on telly the other day about it.
Oh I hate rural Queensland....

I know - its forever away. The Brooke Fraser tickets I bought were only about two months away, which is much better.

I will definitely let you know. :O)
