I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's Parker ...she likes money and cereal." I'd love it if everyone who's friended me did this. (Yes, even you people who I know really well.) Then post this in your own journal [only if you feel inclined]. In return, ask me anything you'd like to know about me and I'll give you an answer.

I didn't get the job I interviewed for. I asked for some feedback and they said I interviewed well and gave good answers with good examples but the person who got the job had more experience in their type of education than I have. Not sure I can argue with that. I wasn't surprised I didn't get it (since they never called my references) but I was still a bit disappointed. I really need a new job.

In other news, I'm hoping to get up to Sydney next year for the Harry Potter Exhibition. I haven't really had a holiday since my last trip to New York in 2008 and though a weekend in Sydney isnt quite the same as a fortnight in NYC I will take what I can get. I'm catching up with a friend soon to see when we want to go and if we can afford it (although at this point I will probably go even if I can't afford it - isn't that why God created credit cards lol) etc. I'm trying not to get too excited until it's all planned and booked but I could really use something like this to look forward to.

Anyone got any advice on where to stay / what to see etc in Sydney. I've never really been (went through the city during a family holiday when I was 6 years old and went up for a single day for work when I was 18 so didnt see anything apart from the airport and a corporate building) so am looking forward to playing tourist for a weekend.

1. Dan/Blair, my current obsession. I had actually stopped watching GG after season 3 but then there was an episode where Dan and Blair took a roadtrip together which sucked me right back in. NGL I am disappointed they didn't completely go there but who knows what season 5 will bring. I love the colours in this icon and how natural they look together.

2. Remus/Hermione, probably my second favourite HP ship ever. I have an art icon of them but this was my first movie icon of the two of them. I love the pink and green and the large space between them.

3. Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway at the Oscars. I love them both individually and this scene was so unexpected but delightful. They were so adorable together. I'm still waiting for them to be in a musical together.

4. Broadway 2008. These were all the shows I saw when I went to New York in 2008. I was there for just under two weeks and saw 10 shows (for those of you doing the maths ... *crickets* ... I saw one of the shows twice. Care to guess which one? lol). People think I'm crazy that I was there for a fortnight and spent so much time going to the theatre but I loved it.

5. James McAvoy. I love these pictures, they are so beautiful. I use this icon when I'm a bit melancholy or when posting for a fic that has made me tear up.

As a further update to my last entry - while I am not 100% I am feeling much better. I dont wanna kill myself when I sit down for half an hour, so thats a good feeling. Only work has been absolutely crazy this week (ugh enrolments) so I have been killing myself working like a crazy person and pretty much just collapsing onto the couch when I get home at night.

I've been randomly checking LJ but coz I havent had much time/energy I'm still not checking the flist 100%. I think by late next week (after enrolments are done) I might have the time/energy to be properly back.

Anyway, to celebrate my imminent return to LJ, an icon meme - you know I can never pass them up. :O)

Harry/Hermione: Yes, I ship them. Don't hate on me. I saw the little clip of them dancing in the DH trailer and I thought it was just all kinds of cute. :O)

Josh Groban/Glee: Anyone who watches Glee know how awesome Josh's appearance was. I love Josh and I love Glee so this is the perfect icon. Plus, its a great 'I approve' icon.

Dan/Blair: I love this gif coz they are so cute and happy. I love everthing about it - her dragging him, the smiles, the clothes. I do kinda wish the icon wasnt bright green, but I can live with that.

Martha: I like all the companions. I think Martha got a bad rap, coz she did some pretty awesome things. I love the texture and text on this icon, and the contrast from that to the black and white pic.

Harry/Ron: Such awesome BFFs. This is one of my icons. I love the blue of the H/R pic and the white of the stock pic.

I am only just back online since late last week. I've tried to catch up with as much as I can but if I missed anything please link me.

Thanks for all the lovely snowflakes. ♥ When I came back and everyone had snowflakes and I was a bit confused but then I tracked down what happened. So funny. Wish I hadnt been AWOL so I coulda sent out a whole bunch too.

I dont really have too much to say to be honest. Work is crazy with enrolments and entering results and whatnot and I'm just over it really. I really need it to be Christmas so I can have a break away from work for a couple of weeks. And I'm sick of having sleeping problems - its been several months now where I either can't get to sleep, or wake up several hours earlier than I need to, or wake up during the night - sometimes all three in the one night. I dont know if its stress, or the weather warming up, or something else completely, but its freaking annoying.

This post is feeling slightly pointless. LOL. Please drop me a line and tell me whats going on with you. :O)

Not much to report from me really. Though I may have some big news later in the week. As for now, I'm just reading the flist - catching up on the last few days.

I really need to catch up on True Blood. I know the finale is showing pretty much as I type this and I still havent seen the last two eps.

Also, I've decided not to cave and download Glee. My sister will kill me if I watch ahead of her. I just hope I can not get spoiled for it via LJ.

And just to make this post a little less pointless, some meme's that have been making the rounds on my flist.

My username is: tattooedsiren. About eight or nine years ago when I was seriously entering a fandom, I wanted a proper user name (ones I had used previously were seriously lame - greeneyes, ozeeyore etc). I wanted something that would relate to the fandom but that I could use other places. So I chose tattooedsiren. It was the Roswell fandom and my fave character was Maria who was played by Majandra Delfino. Majandra is a singer and had released a few songs online: tattoo, bruises and siren. So I combined two song titles and there you have it.
My journal name is: Creatively Girt. It has been this ever since the start of this journal - back when I thought my LJ would just be an archive place for my fics and nothing else. It doesnt make any sense, but I do love the word girt (as my FAPers will know :O) ).
My title is: it hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time. Song lyrics by Michelle Branch. I used to change my title every couple of months (always song lyrics) but it's been on this one for ages. Could be time for a change.
My friends page is called: Much Love. Fairly self explanatory.
My default userpic: I love this icon because it reminds me of an original painting I bought in Paris - I'm kinda going through a phase where I dig on lamposts and umbrellas. I don't know why. LOL.
