Happy Good Friday to one and all.

To all the Victorians on my flist - a reminder that today is the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Childrens Hospital. This is a cause close to my heart. When my younger sister was about a year old she got very sick and was treated at the RCH. She nearly died. And I'm not saying that in an exaggerating way, I'm saying it in a literal-slipped into a coma-stopped breathing several times way. And the folks at RCH saved her life. So please, donate. Thanks.

And on a fandom related note - I promise to have a mood theme and a drabble up by the end of the long weekend.

I know. Weird! Well I was out of work sick on Wed & Thurs so have been lounging on my couch for the last few days. :O)

It was really good. It seriously broke my heart. Anne and James were both great in their roles. I loved it. :O)

Am off to see 300 today. Cant wait.

Looks like I might have to get off my bum (or on my bum...?) and go see BJ then :) Did you think those promos for 300 looked like they said 309? Stupid splatter of badly placed pseudo-blood. I've decided I can't see that movie - I studied Sparta for the HSC (Thermopylae and the Peloponnesian War), and I know the movie is based on the graphic novel and takes a lot of liberties with history, so... no. High likelihood of constant nitpicking ;)

Not much news with me. Been running myself into the ground with early morning gym, late night French and eight hours of work in the middle, so I had a nice big sleep in today. I plan on doing bugger all this weekend :D

I will admit to knowing pretty much zero about the whole Sparta thing - I just wanna see it for Gerard Butler and coz the look of it rocks. Gerard Butler on an Imax screen .... *drools*

Yeah, starting to feel a bit better - now just feeling weak and lightheaded from lack of food the last four days.

How is the francais going? You'll be good enough to do all the talking for us in France I hope. :O) Any plans for Easter Sunday???

Français? Oui, pas mal, pas mal.... Je parle un petite peu meilleur que d'avant. Hopefully I can do the talking in France :) I'm thinking I might do a conversation course in lieu of Niveau Huit just before we leave, as my speaking is probably the weakest link (I can read, write and hear/listen pretty well, and my pronunciation is okay - I just blank out when I have to say something off the cuff).

Hmmm, Sunday. No plans as yet. I assume there'll be football on the telly... Oh, my life is so exciting, LOL. You? Any plans?

Yeah, I was the same when I attempted to learn it. Was okay when it came to reading and writing but not so good at speaking. I'm sure you'll be great.

Just going to my cousins for Easter Sunday. Its my brother-in-laws 30th on Sunday so he is having a BBQ tomorrow night. And then Sunday with the fam way over the other side of the city. So youre not really doing anything for Easter??

Nah, seriously doing nothing up here. We didn't even consider doing anything this year, because my sister's home for the weekend. We're trying to keep everything very stable and normal and low-key for her, y'know?

So far, so good... No breakdowns, but she's learned to read her moods now, and lets us know if she's on a downward trajectory, so to speak.

I have to agree, the RCH is amazing. My brother suffered terrible burns when he was little and they were just superb through the whole thing.

With the amount of people that have friended me I dont have the time to friend everyone back. But I do occasionally check out my friend-of's LJs and if we have striked up a conversation or I can see we have a lot in common I will friend back. It just depends.
