Edit: Clearly my boredom has affected my brain processing. Yes, the first one is MOVIE not book (otherwise I would have included more options *grins*) [Poll #797645]
Well I thought question 1 was books but yeah, it's probably movies. In that case though, my answer is different, lol. Also questions 2 and 3 were WAY TOO HARD! LOL. =)
Oooh wow that was actually really easy. Fellowship of the Ring is my favourite movie EVER except for maybe Gladiator. And Hugh Jackman is the bomb and so is Grey's Anatomy. The only one I really had trouble with was the last - very close between Keira's P+P and Emma, but Emma won out in the end :D It's so funny! And Jeremy Northam's so cute. :p
So much love for Jane Austen movies, if for no other reason than the awesome men that are in them - Colin Firth, Jonny Lee Miller, Alessandro Nivola, Jeremy Northam, Ewan McGregor, Matthew McFadyen, Alan Rickman, Hugh Laurie... *dreamy sigh* And of course James McAvoy in the upcoming movie about Jane Austen.
Sense and Sensibility. Its a small role but he absolutely steals every scene he is in. Its actually where I first saw him, many many years ago now. :O)
that was fun. i'm always up for a pole... i mean poll.
only one i couldn't answer was the 3rd one. i presume because i'm too old. no, actually i loved season 1 of lost, but then it just got too wierd and monotonous for me. and i desperately want to love house, because laurie is just too fantastic, but the story lines get up my nose with their stereotyped cameos of desperate parents and 'selfish, stupid alternate types'.
i voted for the latest pride and prejudice, because even though it wasn't a purists joy, it was just so beautiful, and the music was to die for.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It has certainly helped to aleviate my boredom and I am actually quite surprised and intrigued by some of the resuts.
I love Lost. I agree the second season wasnt as good as the first - I think it just went too far with having new characters and what not. But I did still enjoy it. And I love House - I think its one of the most interesting shows on right now.
I think everyone was way harsh on P&P05. I thought it was very beautiful. Its better to be beautiful and engaging and enjoyable than to get weighed down by being 'pure'.
Some of the above is the easy way out - if I did that then everyone would choose it. :O) I'm glad you liked my little quiz - it has given me much amusement.
Greys is awesome. Cant wait for next weeks ep - damn cliffhangers. *grumbles* I adore George/Izzy and Sandra Oh is the best. :O)
I know - where have you been?!?! How are things with you?
Heehee, I already know the outcome of the cliffhanger. I've already seen all of Season 2. Just wait for the two part finale - it's a ripper!
Where have I been? RL dragged me away kicking and screaming. When I finally escaped, my computer mutinied. Eventually I rode to safety on the backs of two sea turtles...
Things are good now, though I crashed my car a couple of weeks ago. I got a new job (in the same company), working as an integration specialist, which is exciting. Hmmm, not much else to report. You? (Is it all on LJ? Should I just read back through your entries?)
What happened with your car? Nothing too bad I hope. Congrats on the job. Things arent great for me right now to be honest. Check out this post (http://tattooedsiren.livejournal.com/44313.html) for the whole sorry story.
Oh darl, I'm sorry. *hugs* That's truly sucky. Are you looking for something else at the moment? Perhaps you should see a careers counsellor or something, just for another perspective...?
Ah, the car. No, that was just me getting behind the wheel at 7am without quite snapping out of my morning stupor. I ran into the back of someone. Did minimal damage, but I kissed goodbye $800 in excess and 10% of my no-claim bonus *sigh* Such is life, right?
And thanks for the congrats. I'm not sure if I'll like the job or hate it, but I thought it'd be better than spending any longer in that horrid disputes role...
Thanks sweetie. I'm looking, though not too hard in all honesty. Coz I got screwed over with everything I'm feeling a bit apathetic about the whole thing. But I've seen some agencies and applied for some jobs and what not. So we'll see what happens.
Sucks about the car. At least no one was hurt. And now you know for next time ... make you sure are fully awake before getting behind the wheel. :O)
I can totally understand why you wouldn't be too enthusiastic about the prospect of job hunting right now. I tend to believe that the universe has a way of working itself out, so I've got my finger crossed that it happens for you sooner rather than later : )
If I waited till I was awake to drive, I'd probably end up late for work every day, cuz I'm really not a morning person!
Saying the first however, I really did enjoy Mansfield Park. As in I bought it a few years go on VHS and proceeded to lose it on the way back from the UK (it didn't get shipped) and haven't gotten it on DVD yet cause I had yet to find it UNTIL I was in Montreal. Didn't buy it thought because it's hidiously priced.

Btw, I'm assuming the first one refers to movies?
Ack, the only one I can answer with relative ease is the last one, and that's because Emma's the only one I've seen. (With Gwyneth Paltrow)

Date: 2006-08-17 07:47 am (UTC)Yup, first refers to movies (have edited the post). Sorry about the confusion.
