Again, my most sincere apologies to grammar for the irrevocable abuse I have inflicted upon it.
This was a bit harder to write than my Viktor/Hermione set, I think because of the cross-gen aspect. But I think they turned out pretty well.
01. Motion
She picks up his hand, placing it on her chest so he can feel her heartbeat, which, like it always is in his presence, is beating fast, and she says, “This is how you make me feel,” and he can think of no other response than to kiss her.
02. Cool
Her lips taste like cool mint, his taste like warm chocolate, creating an irresistible combination.
03. Young
He is too old for her, he knows this, but he also knows she makes him feel younger and stronger and happier than he has felt in twenty years.
04. Last
She hates thinking about the fact she isn’t his first love, like he is hers, but then she remembers him telling her, “No, you are not my first love, you are my last.”
05. Wrong
“I will never believe this is wrong,” he says between kisses, lips brushing her cheek, and she smiles because she remembers when that wasn’t always the case.
06. Gentle
She touches his hand lightly, a gentle caress that goes unnoticed by all those around them, and he looks to her face and she is smiling shyly at him, and though it breaks his heart, he slides his hand from under hers, standing and exiting the room.
07. One
All it takes is one sentence, one kiss, one confession, and he is hers, for always.
08. Thousand
She must have said ‘I love you’ a thousand times, and she will say it a thousand more, or however many times it takes until he doesn’t doubt her, until he doesn’t believe he is undeserving of her love.
09. King
Harry and Ron are playing chess in the library when she enters and they smile at her as she sits down with them; when the game is over, she takes a deep breath and says, her voice quivering with nerves and fear, “I have something I have to tell you.”
10. Learn
She has an unquenchable thirst to learn new things, and he is, as always, an apt teacher, only now their classroom is their bedroom.
11. Blur
It all happens so fast; they are just discussing a certain paragraph and then she catches his eye and sees the way he is looking at her and her words die in her throat, a sudden silence overwhelming them, and then his mouth is on hers and the book is dropped to the floor and their tongues are meeting and hands are everywhere and they collapse as one onto the settee as they hungrily rip at each others’ clothes.
12. Wait
He’s not ready for this, for her, he is terrified of hurting her and doesn’t want to cause her pain, but she simply smiles and tells him she will wait as long as it takes.
13. Change
He doesn’t want her to see this, afraid she won’t love him anymore after she sees him change into this monster, but in the morning she brings him a blanket and a warm drink and she kisses his lips, and he breathes a sigh of relief.
14. Command
He is a man who clearly puts a lot of thought into everything, every single thing he says and movement he makes is careful and measured, and he feels that control slipping when he is around her.
15. Hold
It’s late July and she finds him at the kitchen table in the dead of night, a bottle of vodka in his hands, and she moves to him, standing behind him and wrapping her small arms around him, and he brings a hand up to rest on her bare forearm as he grieves in her arms.
16. Need
He’s never needed anyone before, something he puts down to his past and losing all those he loved in one foul swoop, but he needs her, and that means the world to her.
17. Vision
He takes off his glasses, rubbing his tired eyes, but when he reopens them he sees her and his eyes aren’t so tired anymore.
18. Attention
He has her full attention as they lie together in the hammock, legs tangled together as they sway slightly; he points out the Dog Star and when she asks if Sirius would be happy for them, he smiles, brushing his lips against hers.
19. Soul
He has never been one for mushy words or poetic speeches or grand declarations, but still he finds himself spooned behind her, thumb idly stroking her stomach, and whispering into her ear, “You set my soul on fire.”
20. Picture
There is a picture of them on her wall, talking together at Harry’s birthday party, and it is surrounded by other photos of friends and family so no one will question its place, no one will guess its meaning.
21. Fool
He’s been a fool, he knows that now, and he can’t believe he almost let her go.
22. Mad
Mad-Eye watches him, noticing that he can’t keep his eyes off her; Mad-Eye grunts, rolls both his eyes, then hobbles to him and grunts, “Wouldn’t it be better for both of you if you got over yourself and admitted how you felt?” before shuffling away.
23. Child
He marvels at the transformation from the child he met to the woman he fell in love with, so proud to have witnessed this change and to be a part of her life.
24. Now
“You need to stop living in the past,” she says, her fingers lightly brushing his cheek, “forget about all of that and make a new life, here, now, with me.”
25. Shadow
She slowly creeps along the dark hallway, avoiding the parts of the floor she knows creak when stood upon, and with one last quick look over her shoulder, she knows no one has seen her and she sneaks into his room.
26. Goodbye
He is going away on a mission for the Order; they all stand in the entrance as he says goodbye and when he turns to her and hugs her warmly she wishes she had the nerve to tell him how she feels about him.
27. Hide
She calls him Lupin when there are others about and this one word conceals the true nature of their relationship, but when they are alone together, he is Remus.
28. Fortune
The ring cost a small fortune, and he knows she won’t care if he gets her the biggest diamond in creation or the smallest, but he loves her more than he ever thought possible and he wants to do this for her.
29. Safe
The fighting is getting worse, the world is at war, but they find joy in their stolen moments, and they find safety in each others arms.
30. Ghost
She doesn’t ask, though the question is on the tip of her tongue more than once, and in the end she decides it doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not, that the ghost of Sirius can do no harm and that he is happy with her.
31. Book
He hands the book to her, their fingers barely brushing, but in that one touch he feels something he has never felt before.
32. Eye
Their eyes lock onto one another as he caresses her cheek, and then he starts to move inside her, pressing his lips to hers, and as she whispers his name he knows that this is it for him – she is the one.
33. Never
“I’ll never leave you,” she whispers and, despite the fact he feels perpetually alone and everyone else he has ever loved has left him, he believes her.
34. Sing
She slowly wakes and languidly stretches her tired body; the bed is empty so she strains her ears and can hear the faint noise of running water and humming, and she smiles, listening to him for a few moments before getting out of bed and joining him.
35. Sudden
A sudden rich laughter breaks the silence and she knows who it is so doesn’t look up, because seeing his face would only make the tightening in her stomach worse.
36. Stop
“Oh God,” she moans, her hands in his hair, as he does things with his tongue that feel so good it makes her think she’ll die if he doesn’t stop or kill him if he does.
37. Time
Time is a strange concept, some hours flying by in an instant while some minutes seem to go on forever, but he knows that however long or short it may be, he wouldn’t trade his time with her for the world.
38. Wash
They come back from their stroll, summer sun making them warm and their bodies glisten with perspiration, and she declares she needs to shower and with a grin, asks is he wants to join her.
39. Torn
He doesn’t know what to do; part of him wants to keep as far away from her as possible, to let her live and love and to shield her from all the complications that come with being involved with him, but the larger part of him wants to surrender to her, to believe her words when she says they can work, to let her love him as much as he loves her.
40. History
It’s strange to think that the battle they have just fought will one day be considered history; that something she has done will be studied in classrooms by future generations; that people will know of the headlines but never realise how it affected those involved, how some rose to the challenge and some fell apart, how the only instances during that awful time she was happy was when she was in his arms.
41. Power
She wears a lot of blue, and not knowing it’s because he once told her in passing that he liked a blue top she wore, he wishes he could tell her how beautiful she is.
42. Bother
It seems to her that everyone is watching them, sneaking covert glances at them as they sit and talk at their end of the table, and it worries her because it makes her wonder if they haven’t been as clandestine as they thought.
43. God
Her mother isn’t happy that she isn’t going to be married in a church, but she can’t reconcile the thought of getting married in the house of someone who has inflicted so much pain and suffering onto the man she loves.
44. Wall
He pushes her against the wall, pressing his body against hers, and she moans when his lips descend on hers and his hands move to the buttons of her shirt.
45. Naked
She is wearing nothing apart from a golden band on her left ring finger and it is the most breathtaking thing he has ever seen.
46. Drive
When she has her heart set on something, she will get it, sooner or later, and right now, she has her heart set on him.
47. Harm
It’s a surreal thing, to fight so heatedly when she is essentially declaring her love for him, and in the end she just stands there and listens in an almost detached way as he says why they cant be together, though she notes he hasn’t included he doesn’t feel that way about her in his reasons, and when he finishes his speech she says in a quiet voice, “Would it really hurt that much … why won’t you at least try?” before wiping away a tear and exiting the room.
48. Precious
He holds the tiny bundle in his arms, his son soundly sleeping away; he catches her eye and though he has no words, she understands and smiles back at him.
49. Hunger
He’s addicted to chocolate, almost as much as he is addicted to her, and he loves to combine his two obsessions; she moans in delight as he removes the liquefied chocolate from her nipple with his tongue.
50. Believe
Remus never believed he could be happy, he never thought he could have someone to love and a family of his own, but he has that with Hermione, and now he believes anything is possible.

Even if you don't write about them, I think you will love the not-for-kids comic book series (which anyone can collect as trade paper backs.)

Fic: Snapshots

I liked the sentiment in "Need", although it should be "one fell swoop." *g*
"Blur" was stunning, and "Change" shows them very well.
