cyclonejuliet. Sorry its so short. RL and writers block have been kicking my arse but I am trying to get back onboard with writing. :O) Enjoy everyone!!
Fireworks
The sky was bright, alive with colour. The crowd below exhaled in collective ooohs and aaahs as a loud crack heralded the way for a new explosion of light.
Harry, Ron and Hermione sat quietly amongst the crowd, unnoticed, just the way they liked it. They discreetly held hands as they watched the fireworks burst into the night sky. The family on the blanket next to theirs had a young girl who alternated between being enthralled and terrified, something that amused Ron to no end.
The parade of light continued, so close that they could feel the ground tremble beneath them. Hermione put a hand to her barely rounded belly, running her hand across her stomach, soothing their baby from the vibrations in her own little way.
When it was all over they applauded with the crowd and got up and headed back through the showgrounds. Everywhere there were people laughing and talking and screaming on rides. The bright lights of the park looked amazing, beautiful.
Once they made it out of the gates and away from the eyes of the muggles, they apparated back home to their flat. Half an hour later they were lying in bed, chatting away amiably.
“You know how some people say they saw fireworks when they first kissed. Well I definitely saw fireworks the first time we kissed,” Ron said.
“Awww,” replied Hermione.
“And that would probably mean a bit more if we hadn’t just won a war and there weren’t fireworks exploding in the sky above us when we kissed,” Harry added, grinning.
Ron poked out his tongue at him. “Fine, be like that,” he said, pretending to pout.
Harry and Hermione laughed, snuggling closer to him. Harry wrapped an arm around his waist while Hermione kissed his cheek. They lay together silently until a few minutes later, when small bursts of coloured light lit the space above their bed. The boys immediately turned to Hermione, grinning. She winked at them and the three of them spent the next few minutes kissing beneath the fireworks.
