Feb. 8th, 2013 02:48 pmRemember that job interview I went for last week?
I just got the call. I got it.
And now I am freaking out about whether to accept or not. I mean, yes, I really dislike my job, but I'm worried about moving somewhere smaller and any impact it has on my career in the future. Also, I'm waiting for them to email me the official offer, but I'm worried the salary is going to be less than what I'm on now. I live alone in a house I have a mortgage on, so the money thing is important.
*quietly freaks out*
Since it's currently 2.40pm on a Friday and they are going to email the offer in about an hour I asked if I could think about it over the weekend and let them know on Monday, which they said was fine. (Did I ever mention the job is at the centre my mum used to run and the current ceo has known me since I was in primary school? So it's kinda weird to be going through this formal interview process with someone I have known for 20+ years. But at least I can say 'can I think about it' and know that they will be cool about it.)
There are pro's and con's to accepting and there are pro's and con's to staying where I am. I think what it will probably end up boiling down to is the money.
Would be grateful for any words of wisdom you feel you can impart.
Will let you guys know on Monday what happens.
