My boss sucks
Jan. 2nd, 2008 06:07 pmI cannot tell you how much I hate my boss right now.
First of all, a very small point, but my boss left at 3pm today. And then had the generosity to say we (me and the other admin person in my team) could leave half an hour early. Seriously? Most everyone else is still on leave, its the first day back, it is dead quiet and nothing needs to be done, we get to leave half an hour early when you leave two hours early? Thanks for that.
But the more important reason why my boss sucks is - she is kicking me out of my office. I have to move desks and sit in the main office with everyone else. The people in the office across from mine are getting a new coordinator (they are working 0.8 for the other team and 0.2 for my team) and there is no room in that office so apparantly that means I have to give up my office. Why cant this new person sit at the spare desk at the back of my office and we can share? I really dont want to move - my new desk is the first one you see when you walk in the office, the computer faces out so everyone can see whats on your monitor, you have to walk past that desk to get to anyone else in the office, and I will be in constant eye-sight and ear-reach of my boss.
The more that I think about it, the more I'm convinced my boss has done this just to keep an eye on me. Which is ridiculous, because I always do my work, but she's just a bitch like that. Why else would this happen? Why move two people (the person whose desk I am going to obviously has to change desks too) to accomodate a new coordinator, when all three of our departments coords dont get their own office?
Up until yesterday my plan was to stay at my current job until December, then maybe look for a new one in early 09. I dont know if I can last that long being in such close proximity to my boss.
Sorry to rant on you guys, and I know it might seem like a big fuss over nothing, but if you knew her you'd understand why sitting six steps from my boss is so horrible.
